Organizer of Conesus Community Chorale for three seasons in the early 1990’s
Brenda and (husband) Stephen Donohue were honored as Conesus Citizens of the Year in 1996 by Conesus Town Board.   
Founding Director of C.L.E.A.N. (Conesus/Livonia Environmental Action Network) Recycling Center, Conesus , NY  in 1991; The employees and volunteers at C.L.E.A.N. received the following awards: Livonia Area Chamber of Commerce Award (1992), first recipient of Governor Pataki's Waste Reduction and Recycling Award in the category of  "Achievement of Excellence for a Small Municipality" (1996), Livingston County Environmental Management Council Earth Day Award (2011).

Conesus Town Supervisor 2006 - present

Livingston County Board of Supervisor’s 2006-present; in that capacity Brenda serves on the following committees:

  • Member of Livingston County Human Services Committee 2006-present
  • Vice Chair 6 years  
  • Chair of Conesus Lake Watershed Council; (three two year terms as Chair), member since 2006
  • Genesee Finger Lakes Regional Planning Council, Executive Committee member since 2006; Treasurer 2015-2017 and member of  GFLRPC full council since 2006.
  • GLOW (Genesee, Livingston, and Wyoming Counties) Solid Waste Committee  member since 2006
  • SAY Rural Health Network (multi-county) representative since 2016
  • Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation Quality Assurance meeting; Board representative since 2007
  • Livingston County Housing Task Force since formation in 2010; Chair of Development sub-committee
  • Livingston County Community Services Board since 2006
  • SUNY Geneseo Livingston Cares Board since 2011;
  • Livingston Arts Board 2013-2016
  • Livingston County Mental Health Incident Review Team member since 2013
  • Regular attendee at Public Services Committee and Ways and Means Committee meetings and county events
  • NYS Association of Counties member of the Committee for Children with Special Needs
  • Graduate of NYS Association of Counties Pelletier Institute for County Government
