Caregiver Support Services

In partnership with Noyes Hospital, the program assists informal caregivers, spouses, adult children, other family members, friends and neighbors in their efforts to care for persons who need help with everyday tasks. This crucial assistance allows these persons with chronic illnesses or disabilities to remain living in their own homes throughout our community. The Caregiver Resource Center provides support that include:

  • Alzheimer'sSupport Groups:
    • Dansville: Meets the 1st Monday of the month from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at the Dansville Public Library
    • Geneseo: Meets the 4th Monday of the month from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Geneseo Methodist Church, Route 63 at Court St., Geneseo
  • General Caregiver Support Group: Brunch Bunch
    • Geneseo: 2nd Thursday of each month from 9:30 - 10:45 am at the Mae's Restaurant in Geneseo (next to Geneseo Cinema)

Powerful Tools for Caregivers: A 6 week educational program focusing on the needs of the caregiver. Powerful Tools for Caregivers

Annual Caregiver Symposium: Held in November, this free of charge care partner event provides the opportunity for care givers to unite, learn, examine available resources, listen to inspirational speakers and enjoy the fellowship of a dinner together.
