MOUNT MORRIS, N.Y., Aug. 18, 2022 — Steve Vondell, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the Livingston County Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation (LCCNR), is retiring after more than 32 years of service to the County.
Vondell started with the LCCNR in 1990 at the Geneseo facility and later moved to the center’s current location at the Murray Hill Livingston County campus in Mount Morris. Steve worked on an Alzheimer’s assignment then attended a rehab specialty training though the Mount Morris campus.
Throughout his career, Vondell has been recognized for his dedication to his CNA career with Livingston County. He said one of the most rewarding aspects of his job is helping residents be able to return to their homes after a successful rehab experience. He states that one of the reasons he chose to keep and continue his career with Livingston County was how co-workers become like family here.
Livingston County thanks Vondell for his dedication to the County and residents of the LCCNR, and wishes him all the best in retirement.
