MOUNT MORRIS, N.Y. – Dec. 3, 2022 – The Director of Public Health and the Director of Community Services will co-facilitate two key stakeholder discussions to determine gaps in opioid and substance abuse services in Livingston County. The intent is to enhance prevention and treatment efforts with the County’s portion of the opioid settlement monies. The money is being provided as part of lawsuit settlements from pharmaceutical companies.
The Livingston County Department of Health invites one or two representatives from county agencies and community-based organizations to explore the needs that exist for those struggling with substance use in the County. There are two scheduled meeting dates and times, however, the Dec. 5 session is currently full and not accepting any more RSVPs. If interested, please RSVP for the Monday, December 12, 2022, session from 4-6pm in Room 208 of the Government Center in Geneseo, N.Y. There will be a meal provided at each meeting for those who attend.
