GENESEO, N.Y., Jan. 10, 2023 — Do you know a local teenager who has had a positive influence on their community through service participation, volunteering, and good deeds? If so, the Livingston County Youth Bureau (LCYB) would like to know.
The LCYB recently began accepting nominations from community members for the 2023 Livingston County Teen Recognition Awards. The annual awards are sponsored by the Livingston County Board of Supervisors and celebrate outstanding teenagers from throughout Livingston County for their exceptional deeds, including community involvement, extraordinary leadership, or positively influencing others by overcoming a significant challenge. All nominations are due by February 3, 2023.
“This is an important opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of our young leaders,” said LCYB Deputy Director Mary Guldenschuh. “We encourage all community members to nominate deserving individuals whose actions and behaviors over time make the community a better place.”
Eligible youths must be 15 years old by February 3, 2023. Individuals are also eligible while in school and up to high school graduation. For nominating instructions and more information on the awards, please visit the Youth Bureau website or call (585) 243-6909.
