GENESEO, N.Y., Aug. 22, 2023 – Regional Transit Service is seeking the public’s opinion on how to improve services in Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne and Wyoming Counties.
Public input will allow RTS to address transit disparities in rural counties including the viability of on-demand transit solutions, which is a ride-sharing mobility option in which ADA-accessible vehicles provide service within a specific geographic area. Under this model, customers will be able to request transportation by calling, using an app or through RTS’ website.
Public input is critical in determining RTS’ path forward. Residents, business representatives and other community members are encouraged to provide their opinion by September 11, 2023 by visiting RTS’ website.
